We also had a little visitor recently!
Daniel and Anne, my sis-in-law, visited us just after we moved in. We gave Daniel a train set, he loved it!
Ok so this is a start, right? Thanks for your patience, all! I am now not commuting 3+ hours a day and joyfully going about a job search, locally...

I love it! So cute! And the nook is a really neat idea that I wish we could do here.
Our first kitchen had counter space about like that. We ended up buying one of those small deep freezers so I could put up berries, and that became an extension of my counter space. We put the dish drainer on it, and I don't know how many batches of cookies were mixed up on the top of that old freezer before we moved and gave it away.
I'm so glad you finally have a nest of your own to enjoy. Here's hoping you find a fabulous job soon that has a teeny tiny commute but loads of perks. =)

Darling place, Ruhiyyih. You and Matt need to come for dinner before Ben and Mai and Charlie leave for Alaska! Took Daniel and Charlie to the park today, to ride the train. Daniel LOVES trains!
That is most definitely the teeniest kitchen I've EVER seen. :oP And yet, it's all so very sweet and charming, and best of all, it's a space for just the two of you. What could be better? :O)
